srebrenika ::: Favorites I think the worst thing about criticism is that it is often a tool for people who harbor prejudices or stereotypes of other people or things. I listened attentively to what the man was saying, and he speaks about the people who tried to help him and others, and their dogged commitment to making him realise it was not his fault. The will always be critics who think they know better. Let's hope that their children never find themselves in the same situation. 07-09-14 21:49:22 __________________________________________________
srebrenika ::: Favorites How will anyone know what the child experiences in war, if noone is prepared to stand up and say something about it. I watched the interview, and I did not see anything in his words or body language, that suggested he was trying to make a profit from what he experienced. Don't knock it, unless you have been there yourself. 07-09-14 21:45:21 __________________________________________________
tresorArt ::: Favorites he went to my college and I just saw him speak at our convocation. He is actually very active in several organizations and has even worked with nelson mandela. It took a lot of encouragement from his profs before he even considered writing, and if it's any indication, he has lived in the US since he was 16 or so, and it is only just about now that his book has really garnered any real attention. It is really not so fair to assume so many things of him. 07-09-14 02:46:34 __________________________________________________
FruitsandCandy ::: Favorites I personally thought his book was great, and very moving. Although I can't say that the crimes he did were entirely all his fault, but it is nice that he decided to write his story into a book so that other people could change their perseption of war. 07-09-09 17:50:56 __________________________________________________
idiofa33 ::: Favorites Eloquent et eduque, vraiment je suis fier de toi mon frere. Que Dieu te benisse. 07-09-09 16:26:20 __________________________________________________
SillyTillySilly ::: Favorites Shame on you. Why should he go for war crimes? He was a CHILD soldier. He said himself, either you do what you're told, or you're killed. They wanted to live. He was brainwashed. His entire family killed. None of this was his fault. At all. 07-09-09 01:55:42 __________________________________________________
C4PaPa ::: Favorites If Foday Saccoh, Charles Tailor etc have gone for war crimes then this guy by the name of Ishmeal should go before special court. Because he did many distruction those people never did before they were captured and sent to prison. 07-09-08 01:30:02 __________________________________________________
C4PaPa ::: Favorites According to his story that I read from the book, they way he was vandalizing people is not right. I just hated the book and himself. Ishmeal is surpose to go for war crimes. He was not even ashame of calling him self a soldier, after he has mistreated people for his entire life. C4PaPa ::: Favorites This guy is trying to make money out of the bad things he has done in his life. I've the entire book, if you parents been killed those that mean you should other people to avenge the death of your parents. Did he know how many people lost their parent in that ten years brutal war in the country. Yet still they were running from the rebels. 07-09-08 01:21:52 __________________________________________________
