coaster1000 ::: Favorites i rate it 4. i would have rated it 5 stars if she did played the ossia cadenza. sorry martha. 07-10-19 13:53:59 __________________________________________________
sanjosemike ::: Favorites I agree. Martha has an absolutely amazing technique, but that is not necessarily an excuse to rush things. This has happened in her other performances (Prokofief Sonata #7). Still, I wish I could play half or even a quarter as well... sanjosemike 07-10-19 09:47:20 __________________________________________________
Medguy83 ::: Favorites I think she's amazingly talented and brilliant, but come on; she left out the ossia, and much of the alternate cadenza sounded a bit rushed. 07-10-14 20:36:12 __________________________________________________
sanctusignis ::: Favorites I got to see Kern play the Grieg Concerto live in April this past year. Simply wonderful! 07-09-26 22:26:08 __________________________________________________
zucchini2007 ::: Favorites Rezojorbenadze, I completely agree with you, because I had the distinct pleasure of hearing Olga Kern in person with our NMSO...she was absolutely fabulous!!! Rach3 is a very intricate, beautiful masterpiece for the piano, and I think she did it GREAT justice! She gave me a newfound appreciation for the piano. I can't wait to hear her in person again!! :-) :-) :-) :-) 07-09-11 20:06:21 __________________________________________________
paesedison ::: Favorites adoraria poder ver melhor as maos dela ao inves de ver o piano por detras...maldito CAmeraman!!!! 07-09-03 18:24:49 __________________________________________________
Animefreak76 ::: Favorites And reidiojed, even if the long cadenza was written for those unable to play the short, it still has a very emotional and thunderous sound that is just great. And Berman could play the short if he desired, I think he just treasures the long cadenza like I do. And 3:42 brought a tear to my eye...she made me appreciate parts of this masterpiece I never fully heard before. 07-08-29 03:31:47 __________________________________________________
Animefreak76 ::: Favorites I agree with both of you. I also love the Lazar Berman version of the Rach 3. The quality of his playing and the recording itself are wonderful. BUT, upon hearing Argerich's playing of the short cadenza, I now adore both recordings. I used to dislike the short one, but now I will treasure both. 07-08-29 03:30:58 __________________________________________________
rezojorbenadze ::: Favorites Dear Kubicam, unfortunately there is no recording on CD of the performance of Rach 3 by Kern. But you can watch the 1st movement including cadenza ossia on YouTube. 07-08-27 05:55:19 __________________________________________________
kubicam ::: Favorites I haven't heard too many recordings of Rach 3...but this was amazing. I really like Nakamatsu's interpretation, but I'll have to add this to my favourties list! Has this particular recording of hers been released on CD? 07-08-23 21:41:00 __________________________________________________ |
