| Rovira14 ::: Favorites 2007-12-31 07:35:51 El seu nom es PAU CASALS no PABLO CASALS HIS NAME IS PAU CASALS, NOT PABLO CASALS. He is catalan, and his name is in catalan, not in spanish. __________________________________________________ | |
| Tono0042 ::: Favorites 2007-12-18 09:56:43 We played this song, with our Orchestra in the church "Sagrada di familia" It is such a beautiful song!!! __________________________________________________ | |
| gpahdnon ::: Favorites 2007-12-15 20:52:11 Ugly reverb effect... But nice playing nonetheless ! __________________________________________________ | |
| lovethecello ::: Favorites 2007-12-15 09:05:07 Music is the real subject; you're right. What I love about Isserlis, is that for him, the music is always the subject. This is a delightful piece plain and simple, and to hear it played so well is wonderful. __________________________________________________ | |
| estherviola ::: Favorites 2007-12-14 18:45:01 Does anybody mind to talk about music instead of making a politic campaigne for Catalans? I like you people, but man, your commentaries about this wonderful video just suck... Many thanks to Steven Isserlis. __________________________________________________ | |

| lovethecello ::: Favorites 2007-11-18 22:35:37 Dear Santa, all I want for Christmas is more Steven Isserlis videos on Youtube..... Here I am again - listening to and admiring this amazing cellist. Incredibly talented, yes, beautiful tone, yes, but perhaps what makes him so very special is his sincerity and devotion to music itself. There's so much beauty in that for me. __________________________________________________ | |
| Nogah100 ::: Favorites 2007-11-07 08:35:18 Couldn't stand it __________________________________________________ | |
| JustMigrating ::: Favorites 2007-10-15 17:30:47 Pau Casals did not "compose" this piece - it was written in the 16th or 17th century - but Casals did "arrange" it for cello and played it often, thus it became known as his piece. There is an English translation of the original folk song about songbirds heralding the birth of Christ. I would sing it at church when I was a child (um, 40 years ago). It is an absolutely beautiful piece, the music and the lyrics. __________________________________________________ | |
| KhmerSerey1 ::: Favorites 2007-10-04 01:47:36 It's sooo fucking beautiful man !! can somebody pass me some fucking tissues ?? __________________________________________________ | |
| pianomatteo ::: Favorites 2007-10-03 00:35:10 he never says anything about casals composing... __________________________________________________ | |
| Bala666 ::: Favorites 2007-09-25 18:33:07 Pablo casals? Song of the birds? what the fuck is that. It's Pau casals and "El Cant dels ocells" this song means the great honor of being CATALAN, the most precious symbol of the fight of catalonia versus the fascism of the civil war in spain. __________________________________________________ | |
