http://zennie2005.blogspot.com/2007/09/bill-oreilly-not-first-white-person-to.html - Fox News Bill O'Reilly made a series of statements that I thought was just plain stupid on his show. I discovered the mp3 on Media Matters, which also was upset by Bill's comments, and made this video. Follow-up: http://zennie2005.blogspot.com/2007/09/ron-paul-bill-oreilly-politics-blacks.html

you have to admit that many young african americans dress, talk, and attempt to live the lifestyle of 'gangsta rappers'. i like my rap like the next young american(im 22) but in the face of absentee parents, and/or a low income home, this music can be destructive if they try to emulate this lifestyle. The problem is just as serious with hispanic/white youth and regardless of income bracket.

I agree with this video. Good show. I do not think, though, that Bill meant that derogatively... he was happy that he felt comfortable in that environment. Sure it reflects pre-conceived notions: but can you blame people that do? The media would have us believe Harlem is not safe for rich white folk to wander into and happily enjoy a good meal safely.

Interesting video. When will we realize that there is only one race, HUMAN! Went through comments & I don't understand why zeenie62 would need to make another person feel or look stupid. Ignorant people accomplish looking stupid pretty easily, all by themselves. Celebrate our differences(they make life interesting),learn from others, love everybody. Love and peace to all.

I got nothing against Obama, and in fact donated to his campaign. BUT, that was before I heard the message of RON PAUL. The top tier Democrats and Republicans are one in the same. Maintain the status quo. Maintain the wars. Maintain big government. Maintain the enslavement of the people. Wake up America ! This isn't funny anymore. Republicans, Independents, and Democrats got to come together to put Ron Paul in office, even if it means pissing off the "Establishment".

Description:

"Carnaval" is San Francisco's annual parade and street fair held every Memorial Day weekend in the Mission District and literaly taking over the neighborhood. I love this spectacle of people, sights, and sounds. What I most enjoy is the vast and diverse crowd. It's a reminder of how really very much common we all are. This year, I planned to take my camcorder and record what I saw for this blog, and to show the World my friend Sean Brown's kiosk system. The video starts with me walking past the entry, getting a kind of credit card, and walking over to this large bank of screens. Those video devices are the "kiosks" where one types in their information and gains a chance to win a prize; in this case, an Oakland Raiders luxury box. (No kidding.) I'd never seen the kioks in action, and I have to admit I was impressed. As Sean says in the video, it's a good way for corporate sponsors of events to reach an audience. The full range of possibilities hasn't been realized -- yet. For more information, contract Sean at sean@buzzhub.com Now, on to the Carnaval. In watching this video, look at the vast number of different kinds of people, all partying as one. If you're a marketer working to reach the Latino demographic, or the young, check out the kinds of companies there. If you're a person who follow cultural trends, listen to the music: Latin rap, jazz, and all kinds of sounds. Then there's dancing of all kinds: Salsa, swing, and even Capoeada. (I don't think the spelling's correct there.) Carnaval's also a story of food. Look at the vendors and the cooks grilling meat; the smoke will come into your face in this video. The end of the video is a party on the roof of "Medjool", a popular bar and retaurant. A perfect way to end a lovely Sunday with my friends at Carnaval.

Barack Obama Hosted By Sen. Barbara Boxer In San Francisco

Description:

http://zennie2005.blogpot.com - You know you've reached star status when -- even though you're a US senator -- they just call you by your name and not your title. Such is true for US Senator and Candidate for President of The United States, Barack Obama. They just call him Barack Obama. Senator Barack Obama (D) Illinois, appeared as the star of a rousing February 19th fund-raiser hosted by Senator Barbara Boxer at The Westin St. Francis Hotel in San Francisco's Union Square. The event drew almost 2,000 people, if not a little more than that number. (And reports with the estimate at 1,000 are just plain wrong. I was there, and I can count.) What was surprising to me was the number of true voters who turned out. The crowd was most older, white, and liberal, and for the trained eye consisted of some of the Bay Area's most active political citizens. But to be sure, there was a healthy percentage of younger voters as well -- between 20 and 45 years old. And remember all paid between $150 and $2,000, so this wasn't a free event. It sold out the week before it was set to commence. Personally, I was blown away by Barack Obama. And I've worked for four politicians and donated to several campaigns. Part of Senator Obama's appeal is that he really has his pulse on the problem America faces and that's a belief crisis. Our leaders don't represent us anymore; they stand for their own desires. One doesn't get the impression that Senator Obama has an agenda separate from that of the American People. He knows we're suffering from seeing people killed overseas and going without help in a hurricane-wrecked New Orleans. He knows we're tired of seeing our leaders preside over a vastly imbalanced spread of resources going where they don't help Americans (the Mid East) while people in the South (Louisiana) are still suffering. He gets that we have a massive leadership crisis, yet doesn't step in like Superman, he just has the courage to point his hand in another direction and say "This is where we should go." I know that's heavy, but it doesn't begin to describe how much people are energized by him and his run for president. It's one thing to hear about it, but you've got to be a part of it to understand. (It's also to bad that Sen. Hillary Clinton's staff seems jealous of Obama's popularity: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/02/21/AR2007022100993.html ) He's the real deal and with the total knack for saying the right words. All of that is evident in this video. As a note, you may wonder why I chose the theme song to the television show "Friends." I tried the music as an experiment in part of the video, and was struck by how perfect the message "I'll be thee for you" seemed to describe the relationship between Senator Obama and his supporters. The theme, like the Senator's book "The Audacity of Hope" is about hope, and thus is perfect for this video, if not his candidacy. See how your candidate compares to the rest of the field. I found this really cool site with links to all the candidates' views on the issues. Knowbeforeyouvote[DOT]com

The dictatorship regime is a warmongerer who kills the innocent overseas. They also give felonies for legal gun ownership. One bank examiner, FDIC, was killed. I survived. I was forcibly injected and tortured. Now, to even the score and to alleviate the terror I endured, I welcome a global war and the regimes death, and my own if we can not remove the international regime.
