"Lanigan at Large" was a public affairs show that aired on Sunday nights on 43. He'd talk to city councilmen and whatnot about things that were going on around town. As far as people winning the jackpots go, It has happened quite a bit, but there was one time the jackpot got to over $3,000, and a few times where it went over $1,000. For that kind of money, you had to earn it. The prizes you got for guessing the face on the wheel (like the pen set) were provided in exchange for a plug.

I remember a show on WUAB called Lanigan At Large. It was on in the evenings and was sort of a variety/entertainment show. I'm guessing mid to late 70s. No one seems to remember this. Someone help out! :)

WUAB was a great station in the 70s. Different era back then.

Lanigan's hair was a lot longer than that in the 70s. :)

So funny was they would have the HARDEST movie clip for really no money. Rarely you would see anyone win. I think watching the show for like 20+ years I saw someone win once. :) LOL

Do you realize that this kid, I believe his name is Danny O'shannon. He was the head writer for Cheers, Fraisier, Suddnly Susan, and wrote the last episode of Newhart, where newhart wakes up and we realize the NEW newhart show was a dream.
