Description:
Some archival footage I nabbed from some weak documentary - great archival footage of Minor Threat running through 'In My Eyes' - in the basement. Man, you knew even at this point they were great. Followed by an interview with a young Ian MacKaye (SxE - not a set of rules...). Great picture of him in his high school yearbook. Also, the famous 'Hagen Daz' store that he and Henry Garfield (Rollins) worked at. |

Thumpstick ::: Favorites "some weak documentary " and "emo",maybe some of the most ignorant comments I've ever read on youtube,I'll assume the 17 is your age,and you don't know shit about the history of good music. 07-06-28 04:56:36 _____________________________________________________

badfutureuk ::: Favorites Thats a suspect statement. Can you elaborate on why you've implied some sort of competition/opposition from these two musics? 07-07-03 13:23:31 _____________________________________________________

xxgoodxxcharlottexx ::: Favorites Lovely band, smart kids. Can't say if they're book-smart, but they've got common sense. In My Eyes ... that would have to be my favorite Minor Threat song. Some of you were talking about history of hardcore or something. Read "American Hardcore, A Tribal History" by Stephen Blush. It's the history of hardcore from the point of veiw of hardcore bands themselves. I'm reading it now, and it's quite good. Very educational. 07-07-12 11:33:03 _____________________________________________________
cjmorton ::: Favorites HA HA HA Fucking funny as shit you think minor threat is emo? HA!thats the funnist shit i ever herd. wow yea they could kick your ass 07-07-16 22:11:27 _____________________________________________________
CrowleyHead ::: Favorites Hey man, I have nothing against emo. I think the label is dumb, and the original concept is brilliant. It's just as difficult to be introspective as it is to be 'political'. Fuck it, songs like Minor Threat and Straight Edge are pretty much as deep as Hain's Point or Persistent Vision. So yeah, I totally believe that Minor Threat, while not an Emo band, were a predecessor for emo. But then, by that right, one can make the point about a ton of punk groups. 07-07-17 12:31:21 _____________________________________________________ |
