Description:
In the days leading up to the storming of the Red Mosque, Al Jazeera's Rageh Omaar gained exclusive access. He and his team were the last TV crew inside the mosque before the siege began and filmed the last interview with Abdul Rashid Ghazi, one of the mosque's leaders, before his death. |

arafiq786 ::: Favorites Due to a lack of education and social infrastructure we have radical groups setting up social service groups for the poor. A catch 22 indeed. 07-08-01 18:31:13 _____________________________________________________

amstrad01 ::: Favorites I was just reading the Obama speech, which was very pleasing. He was saying that we might send troops to Pakistan, if they can't do the job then we will, and aid will be conditional. But that's exactly what Bush, Franc Townsend, Harry Reid, Lee Hamilton etc were also saying. If Obama become next President, Pakistani will remember the good old days of generous and kind Bush :-))) 07-08-01 20:40:50 _____________________________________________________
abudujaanah ::: Favorites peace to all, the thing I fail to understand is: why were the weapons shown in this clip sparkling and dustfree when all the surrounding was dusty, could it be that these weapons were placed there after the siege to convince people that Ghazi was a terrorist and had weapons, why didnt they use these weapons to defend themselves.....hmmm........... 07-08-01 20:49:46 _____________________________________________________
NastyXOrco ::: Favorites If you notice towards the end of the 1st video Omaar mentions that "Ghazi himself carries a gun." and before that mentions "the guns have been hidden from the cameras and that it is well know that the students have guns.." The fight lasted as long as it did because they were armed. DON"T TWIST THIS!! 07-08-01 21:09:22 _____________________________________________________
halfangel1 ::: Favorites Islam will RISE oneday, Insahallah 07-08-01 22:23:02 _____________________________________________________
frodo6754 ::: Favorites amstrad you hindu cut, why don't you piss off to hindu tree worshipping board. 07-08-01 23:24:09 _____________________________________________________
makhluq ::: Favorites I just don't understand why the government did not cut off electricity, gas and water supply earlier. People inside would have been forced to come out eventually. And why was the area not cordoned off? How were outsiders allowed to enter the mosque even during the "siege"? I think this bloodshed could have been avoided if there was a will. I have to say the documentary was well done. Rageh Omar and his crew did an excellent job. 07-08-02 00:47:43 _____________________________________________________
awgu ::: Favorites Shame on these parents for sending their children and loved ones to that...that...cult house. The families of these dead children should be charged for child abuse. Look at those women covered completely, you cant even see their eyes. Shameful, stupid, and barbaric. 07-08-02 01:06:18 _____________________________________________________ |
